Lease-End Options and Loyalty Benefits

As your Acura Luxury LeaseTM comes to an end, you have an important decision to make. Acura of Brookfield is here to help. When you reach the final six months of your lease, we invite you to explore your three options.

Return Your Acura and Lease a New One

With your Acura Luxury LeaseTM come the exclusive benefits of Acura Loyalty AdvantageTM (ALA)1 

Mileage Forgiveness® 

If you have driven more than your contracted lease miles, Acura Financial Services® (AFS) will waive half of your excess mileage (up to 7,500)2 and add an additional 1,000 miles to your next Acura Luxury Lease when you lease or finance through AFS.

Momentum Miles® 

If you have driven fewer than your contracted lease miles, your unused lease miles (up to 15,000 miles)3 will be rounded up to the nearest 1,000 and added to your next Acura Luxury Lease. 

Additional Benefits as a loyal AFS client4 

  • An additional $750 Excessive Wear-and-Use or Damage Waiver (up to $1,500 total waived) on your current lease.5
  • A waiver on the turn-in fee6 for your current lease.

 

1 Acura Loyalty Advantage (ALA) eligibility is subject to verification and credit approval by Acura Financial Services (AFS). To obtain ALA benefits, clients must lease a new vehicle from AFS and undergo standard AFS verification and credit approval requirements. ALA benefits are only available within 180 days of the scheduled maturity date and 180 days after lease termination. AFS may terminate ALA benefits at any time, without notice.

2 If you are over your contracted lease miles, half of all your excess miles, up to 7,500 miles, are eligible for waiver if you finance a lease or retail purchase of a new Acura from a participating Acura dealer through Acura Financial Services.

3 If you are under mileage, up to 15,000 miles can be rolled over to your next leased Acura financed by Acura Financial Services if the new Acura is leased from a participating Acura dealer.

4 A loyal client is one who purchases or leases another new Acura or Honda automobile within 30 days prior to or after the turn-in date.

5 An Acura Luxury Lease includes a $750 Excessive Wear-and-Use or Damage Waiver. Loyal clients may qualify for an additional waiver and may be eligible for a turn-in fee waiver. Total Excessive Wear-and-Use or Damage Waiver amount not to exceed $1,500.

Purchase Your Leased Acura

If you decide to purchase your Acura vehicle, there is no need to have it inspected. Just follow these easy steps to make it your own. 

Step 1:

Obtain a payoff quote online by logging in to your account or by calling 866-777-6495 

Note: If you live in IL or OH, certain conditions require that you speak with an Acura Financial Services® (AFS) Lease-End Specialist. 

Step 2:

Contact the Lease Maturity Center at 866-777-6495 and notify us of your intent to purchase the vehicle. 

Step 3:

Mail the full payoff amount (including state sales tax, if any) to the address below. If there is no outstanding balance on your account, the title will be mailed upon verification of final payment clearance. It is important to verify AFS has your current address on file to ensure you receive your title. 

If you would prefer to finance your lease purchase, please contact our Finance Department to discuss your options. 

On a lease, federal law requires disclosure of the vehicle mileage in connection with the transfer of ownership. You must submit a signed and dated Odometer Disclosure Statement and Title Release Information form. Your vehicle title cannot be released until we receive the Odometer Discloser Statement. Make your check payable to Honda Finance Exchange, Inc. and mail the check and completed Odometer Disclosure Statement to:

Leadership Purchase Plans® do not require the Odometer Disclosure Statement.

Step 4:

Re-register your vehicle: State law requires that you transfer the title and vehicle registration into your own name and pay any applicable sales tax and/or fees. This can be completed at your local Department of Motor Vehicles.


Return Your Acura

We'd love to keep you as a returning client, but if your decision is to turn in your Acura Luxury LeaseTM, you will automatically lose your loyalty benefits. Follow these simple steps to return your Acura vehicle at the end of your lease.

Two to three months before:

1. Contact the Lease Maturity Center at 866-777-6495 to discuss the process for returning your vehicle.

2. Schedule your end-of-lease vehicle inspection through SGS online or by calling 800-340-4080.  Please have your Acura Financial Services® (AFS) account number and VIN available.

SGS inspectors will not drive the vehicle, but they will need the keys to start it and test all electrical functions. Upon completion the inspector will print an inspection report and review the results with you.

We recommend that you be present for this inspection. If you are present, the inspector will give you a copy of the report following the inspection. Shortly thereafter, you will also receive a Preliminary End-of-Lease Statement that outlines the estimated costs of any excessive wear-and-use or damage, excess mileage, etc. No charges will be made to your account until after the vehicle has been turned in.  View the Lease-End Inspection Guide for more details.  

Prior to the time of the inspection, we ask that:

1. The vehicle is as clean as possible, inside and out, but detailing is NOT necessary.

2. All items are removed from the vehicle, including child car seats. Inspectors will not move or remove any items from the vehicle.

3. All keys, manuals, original accessories, and any service or maintenance records are present.

4. There is adequate space and light for the inspection process.

Your Acura Luxury Lease includes an Excessive Wear-and-Use or Damage Waiver; however, you will be responsible for any wear or use that exceeds the waiver. You will also be responsible for any outstanding payments, excessive miles, turn-in fee, and any other outstanding end-of-term obligations specified in your lease agreement1. You will receive a Vehicle Inspection Report following the vehicle inspection.

One week before:

Make an appointment with Acura of Brookfield to return your Acura.  You can schedule your appointment with our sales department at 262-565-6501

At the appointed time:

Deliver your Acura in clean condition to Acura of Brookfield.  Please bring the following items with you:

1. All keys to the Acura

2. Owner's Manual

3. Vehicle Return Receipt

4. Vehicle Inspection Report

5. Receipts for completed repairs

After you turn in your Acura:

Contact the Lease Maturity Center at 866-777-6495 to inform us that you have returned your vehicle.

If all payments have been made, your call will initiate the completion process for your lease account, and you will no longer receive a regular monthly billing statement.

If you have payments remaining on your account, you are responsible for making them. If your dealer has agreed to make the final payments, follow up with your dealer to ensure they are made on time.

If any end-of-term liabilities apply, these items will be billed at a later time.
